Though killing people is a cruel punishment there are some good things about the death penalty. One good thing is that if the person committing the crime is killed, the victim of the crime, such as rape can feel a lot more safe and comfortable. They can go on with their life without worrying that the person will come back. And it also helps so that prisons don't fill up with too many people. Some people who get out of jail don't learn their lesson and go back and do it again. With death penalty you don't have to worry about that happening. Some people believe that the safety of the victim or victim’s family is more important than the prisoner. Sometimes the victim is killed so killing the criminal is a very good way to make them feel better and a lot safer. Death penalty makes it so that people think more before committing a crime.
